These 3 small bears are the first bears I carved after learning some Tricks of the Trade from Rick Cox..Like so many of my finished carvings, I have no Photos of them after painting..I was able to sell them for $35 each.

This group of 3 bears are gone too.! The one on my right is Panda, Slim in the middle and Annie on my left was given to the Sutton family (as per my Bears 4 Wood program)..lol

You can se Panda and Slim painted in my next post.

A better group photo of Panda, Slim and the Sutton Bear..

And another group of bears. From left to right: Hello bear sold, Sitting bear sold, Sutton bear, Standing bear sold, and unpainted Panda.

The Exchange: Bears for Wood program

This is a 3 foot pine wood bear I carved for a couple in East Springfield, Ohio.. They had given me several pine log sections for free, so I made them a bear to put in their yard.. Later I recieved a nice "Thank You" card from them, which wasn't necessary as it was the least I could do after getting all that free carving wood.. Thanks a bunch to the Sutton family..!

JP Myers Chainsaw Carvings

These photos were taken in April
of 2011 and show my first
chainsaw carvings. I spent a long hard day of carving
with Rick and Sue Cox. I managed to learn and remember enough that day to get going.

I hope there has been some improvement in my carving skills since that time..I like to think so..LoL
Here is my carving shed with some logs ready to become something other than logs..
